HAVE YOUR VOICE HEARD
ON COMMUNITY ISSUES

NOTICE OF MEETING for Lafayette County residents

April 17, 2008, 6:00 pm, Burns United Methodist Church

In an effort to identify and assess the health & human service needs of the community, the United Way of Oxford & Lafayette County in partnership with the ProMatura Group and Medical Marketing Economics is conducting a Community Needs Assessment.

The Amos Network of Lafayette County and Interfaith Compassion Ministry (ICM) churches along with other churches are helping pilot the needs assessment survey by encouraging their members to participate in a focus group at Burns United Methodist Church, 600 Molly Barr Road, at 6:00 pm on April 17, 2008.

At the meeting, we will pose questions to the group, vote using an Audience Response System, see the group’s responses immediately after the vote and, as time permits, discuss the top concerns of the group.

The need assessment results will help us focus United Way’s resources (your contributions) more effectively and develop strategies to find solutions for our community’s most pressing problems.  The results will be shared broadly throughout the community, including with government leaders and other non-profit organizations.

Your perspective will help us gain valuable insight into areas of concern to our community. We are planning for 100 attendees at the focus group.  We hope you will be one of them!

Sincerely,

Donna Long
